Types of Implant

Round-shaped

Round-shaped implants have been commonly used for breast augmentation. Bulging on the upper side of breast can be noticeable, but it feels natural to touch.

Teardrop-shaped

– Natural breast line
The implant is created to resemble anatomical shape of breast that it is suitable for saggy breast, breast requiring extensive volume, or for those who aim for natural appearance.

Incision

Trans axillary Incision

  • Mostly preferred incision method for almost invisible scars
  • Arm movement can be limited temporarily after surgery

Inframammary Incision

  • Less pain than transaxillary incision after surgery
  • Scars can be visible in supine position that it is suitable for individual who has distinct crease under breast

Periareolar Incision

  • It provides accurate surgical vision that this incision is often used for revisional surgery
  • Mammary gland may be damaged.

Transumbilical Incision

  • Scars are invisible since it is located in navel.
  • Only saline implants can be used.

Implant Placement

null

Subglandular Placement

Implant is inserted in subglandular area, in other words, on top of muscle. This method is limited to patients who have enough autologous breast tissue.

null

Submuscular Placement

Implant is inserted underneath pectoral muscle which occupies the majority of breast. Since it is located in the deepest place, the implant is covered with a lot of tissues. Thus, this placement is commonly used among Asians with small breasts. Since a lot of tissues cover the implant, natural result can be obtained.

null

Subfascial Placement

Implant in inserted right above pectoral muscle which is between pectoral muscle and fascia that surrounds the pectoral muscle. Because there is not enough tissue to cover the implant, this method is only optional for patients who have moderate volume.

null

Dual-Plane Placement

It is an integration of submuscular and subglandular placements explained above, meaning that partial implant is inserted underneath muscle, and the other partial implant is inserted under mammary gland. This method is used for patients with mastoptosis, patients who have short distance between nipple and crease under breast, patients with cone-shaped breast, and patients who want bigger breast than their body shapes.
